Here’s a little bit about me.

Hi, my name is Shea , my pronouns are she/they and I’m a nonbinary artist. I started holding my first Canon when I was in high school. A few of my influences for clicking the camera have been photographers like Ruth Orkin, Jill Freeman and Henri Cartier-Bresson. I was also drawn to black and white street photography while traveling through Europe for a number of years. I continued to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education and also loved mentoring interested youth at UICA for photography. I love creating a whimsical and dramatic feel to the image as well as finding the passion folks have for life through the lens. Some of my images are of my beautiful trans child. I know first hand that having a queer photographer who respects the creative space is essential. Let your true self shine through!
